Aftercare

Tatouage d'un crâne de chèvre avec cornes entouré de fleurs et de feuilles sur le dos d'une personne.

About 4 hours after the session

  1. Remove the bandage and gently clean the tattooed area (with clean hands) with mild soap (preferably new in a resealable container). Don't hesitate to clean it with warm water and rinse it with cold water.

  2. Lightly pat the skin dry with a paper towel (not your usual towel for the first few days), or let it air dry.

  3. Leave your tattoo uncovered. No more film or bandage from now on!

Tatouage d'une tête de renard entourée de feuilles et de baies, avec des bois de cerf sur la tête du renard.

2 to 3 days after the session, for 3 weeks

  1. Gently cleanse 1 to 2 times a day in the shower with mild soap.

  2. Dab dry or let it air dry.

  3. When your tattoo is completely dry and begins to feel tight, apply the recommended cream 2 to 3 times a day with clean hands, massaging a thin layer to ensure it penetrates well. Be sure not to leave excess cream on the healing area!

For proper healing, I recommend applying a blend of shea butter and vegetable oil. This 100% natural and vegan treatment deeply moisturizes and nourishes the skin while respecting your tattoo.

Be careful, however, to only apply a thin layer: the skin must be able to breathe to heal properly.

During healing

  • Wear breathable, cotton clothing (no tight-fitting clothing that could rub the freshly tattooed area, no seams, or crocheted fabrics that come into direct contact with the fresh tattoo).

  • No bathing, swimming, sauna, or steam room for at least 3 weeks.

  • Be careful with pets: no hair, licking, or scratching the tattooed area while it heals (so be careful with sofas, beds, etc.).

  • Above all, do not scratch, and remove any small patches of skin or scabs that form on the tattooed areas.

  • No sun for 3 months, then SPF 50+ for any future exposure (no sunburn for 2 years).
